Various crashes in excess of the past couple times resulted from a winter season storm and blizzard that strike West Michigan. Two daughters of a person survivor concerned in a horrific crash spoke with FOX 17.
“It’s challenging to see a person so complete of everyday living and satisfied and telling jokes bruised and bleeding and included in glass,” stated Kendra Jones.
Just two days prior to Christmas, her mother, Dora Schweiger, was driving her postal truck together M-57 in the vicinity of Shaner Avenue when she was included in a head-on crash with a semitruck.

The incident was 1 of lots of that took position after a winter storm swept across West Michigan.
“She has broken essentially both of those arms, both equally wrists, her pelvis bone, her tailbone, equally legs, the two feet and she has a broken ribcage,” stated Jones.

Her mother has labored at the article business for quite a few years. Kendra and her sister Paige were at household when they received the contact. They were being the two stunned, but grateful, that the crash did not cost their mother her lifestyle.
“You just see the shots you would think that the individual did not make it. She fortunately has no mind harm she doesn’t have any enamel missing,” said Paige Jones.
“Her spine’s intact she’s not paralyzed she can wiggle her toes and fingers,” additional Kendra Jones.
A Christmas wonder: Postal truck driver survives horrific crash
Schweiger had surgery Christmas Day and is now in recovery. A holiday break usually loaded with entertaining relatives traditions turned the reverse this calendar year.
In the meantime, her daughters are hoping to get back what their mom shed in the horrific crash and assist with health-related costs as she recovers.

“They had to in essence cut her out of her full winter season gear and clothing, so she shed all the things she was donning that day. She dropped her purse she dropped her ID, [m]any of her personalized possessions,” reported Kendra Jones.
They never know what the future retains for their mom, but the truth that she survived the crash is a Xmas wonder in alone.

“We’re not guaranteed how speedily she’ll be equipped to recover, if she’ll be equipped to stroll all over again, if she’ll be wheelchair certain, how intensive bodily remedy will be … all of these things that are the aftermath are just kind of not known,” explained Jones.
