JABA Event Bring Together Lawyers from U.S., Japan

On Jan. 26, the Japanese American Bar Association’s (JABA) Shin-Issei/Japanese Attorneys Team and Enterprise Lawyers Group co-hosted a reception honoring Securities and Exchange Commissioner Mark Uyeda, Los Angeles County Superior Court Choose and JABA Earlier President Sabina Helton, and Deputy Consul Normal Naoshige Aoshima at the Los Angeles place of work of Buchalter.

Uyeda is a past vice president of JABA and a previous president of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association in Washington, D.C. He is the 1st Asian Pacific American to provide on the Securities and Trade Fee and the initial non-judiciary JABA member to be appointed to a U.S. Senate-verified posture. He graduated from Duke Regulation School and began practice in Los Angeles at O’Melveny & Myers.

Helton was appointed to the bench by Gov. Jerry Brown in 2018.  

Judge Mori graduated from Cornell Regulation Faculty and commenced practice at Brobeck Phleger & Harrison. She remaining follow to clerk for Richard W.
